Ep 2 Tears In The Bottle Shoshana Susan: Anatomy of a State Forgery

The smoking gun in the 545-year-old cold case of Seville is not a weapon of iron, a hidden stash of gunpowder, or a secret ledger of mercenary payments. It is a single, dusty manuscript preserved under high security in the Seville Cathedral library, known today as the Biblioteca Colombina.

For over five centuries, the official Spanish narrative has rested on a terrifying foundation: that city councilman Diego de Susán and his wealthy Converso colleagues were dangerous terrorists. The Spanish Crown and the newly appointed Inquisitors claimed they caught these 'New Christians' red-handed plotting an armed military coup—an insurrection designed to slaughter the Inquisitors, capture the city, and overthrow Catholic rule. This sensational 'Converso Rebellion' was the state's ultimate alibi, weaponized through public propaganda to turn the citizens of Seville against their own neighbors and sanitize the immediate seizure of Diego's massive ten-million-maravedís estate (modern purchasing power of $50 million to $80 million USD).

But in the court of objective forensic investigation, lies eventually unravel. If you analyze the actual paper trail left behind by the perpetrators, the state's elaborate case crimes down into a clumsy, amateurish forgery. The Holy Office did not discover an armed rebellion; they fabricated one.

The Archive Trail: Version A vs. Version B

The unraveling of this historical heist was accomplished by the preeminent 20th-century historian Benzion Netanyahu, who performed a painstaking textual analysis of the two surviving contemporary manuscript versions of the alleged Converso 'conspiracy' meeting preserved in the Colombina library. What he uncovered was a classic piece of state-sponsored document tampering.

When the two historical manuscripts are laid side-by-side, we can watch the state editor's pen actively altering the truth in real-time:

Forensic Metric

Version A (The Defensive Reality)

Version B (The Inquisitorial Forgery)

Source Origin

Extracted from an earlier, raw 1500 ce, manuscript documenting the unvarnished testimonies.

The official polished Inquisition record curated to validate the executions and asset thefts.

Core Narrative Tone

Pessimistic, terrified, and utterly defensive. Converso families discussing how to escape sudden arrest.

Sinister, aggressive, and highly organized. A detailed offensive plot to launch an armed coup.

Foronda's Core Statement

"To have people ready appears to me a good idea... But how? Where are the hearts? [Give me hearts.]" (Expressing complete hopelessness and a total lack of human capacity).

Includes the opening line but abruptly interpolates a list of arms, money, and assignments to kill the Inquisitors, completely ignoring Foronda's despair.

The Smoking Gun (Netanyahu's Verdict)

A genuine, unedited transcript of Converso notables realizing they are trapped, resulting in total inaction.

A clumsy, post-facto textual forgery. An Inquisition-aligned editor physically interpolated a fabricated sentence to create a legal alibi for asset liquidation.

The Stash of the Cathedral Majordomo

In the primary accounts of the hostile chronicler Andrés Bernáldez, the state pointed triumphantly to its key piece of physical evidence: a stockpile of weapons found in the home of Pedro Fernández Benadeba, the majordomo of the Seville Cathedral, who was arrested and burned alongside Diego. Bernáldez wrote with horror that Benadeba had 'enough arms in his house to equip one hundred men.'

But let's put this physical 'evidence' into historical context. Seville in the 1470s was an incredibly dangerous place for Conversos. Between 1473 and 1474, terrifying, state-tolerated anti-Converso riots swept through Andalusia, leaving homes burned and families slaughtered by rampaging street mobs. For an elite citizen like Benadeba, keeping a domestic cache of armor and swords was not an offensive military preparation against the Crown; it was a standard, vital measure of private home defense designed to shield his household and community from localized massacres.

The Inquisitors took a domestic home security measure and twisted it into 'proof' of an offensive rebellion. Yet, the ultimate proof of their fraud lies in what happened next: despite subjecting the Converso leaders to agonizing torture in the dungeons of the Castillo de San Jorge, the Inquisitors completely abandoned the treason charge at trial. Diego de Susán was ultimately burned at the stake solely as a 'Judaizer' (religious heretic). If there was a real, armed treason plot, the state would have paraded it across Castile. Instead, they hid their forged files in the cathedral archives.

The Inquisition for Lies: The Verdict of Zion

As Biblical Zionists—Jews and Christians standing as absolute allies for the restoration of historical and biblical truth—we refuse to let state-fabricated propaganda remain the final draft of history. Human courts operate on sovereign immunity, allowing empires to shield their stolen wealth behind procedural technicalities. But the Supreme Court of Heaven operates on a different standard of justice.

Our campaign, From Zion with Love, is built on the divine promise that the 'refuge of lies' will be systematically dismantled. We appeal to the absolute, unyielding standard of scripture:

"Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation... Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place."— Isaiah 28:16-17

The Spanish State and the Vatican built their 1481 asset grab on a 'refuge of lies'—a forged, state-altered document designed to hide a multi-million-dollar sovereign heist. But the ultimate Doresh Damim (the Seeker of Blood, Psalm 9:13) does not operate on an earthly statute of limitations. The divine audit is active, and the truth of Diego de Susán's innocence is being brought to light.

Join us next week as we dismantle the most famous romantic fable in Spanish history, stripping away the 'Beautiful Traitor' folklore to expose a brutal state-sponsored 'honeypot' espionage operation and the forced convent silencing of Diego's sole legal heir.

The docket remains open. The truth is coming.

As a Bible teacher, birth doula & retired nurse living in the Old City of Jerusalem, I’ve spent my life assisting in moments of profound transformation.

My own journey reflects this—from a devout Christian home with a passion for prophecy to a new life as a convert to Judaism, I’ve learned that our stories are often one, intertwined narrative.

Today, I see the world in a state of intense, purposeful labor. These are the "birth pangs" of the Final Redemption, and as a "Geula Doula," I am here to breathe with  you through this final, glorious stage of our shared history.
