The Morality of War:
Debunking the Genocide Libel

1. The Genocide Libel

The Accusation: "Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians."

The Reality: This is a modern blood libel. Genocide is defined by the intent to destroy a people. Israel’s war is against a terrorist organization (Hamas), not the Palestinian people.

The Proof: If Israel wanted to commit genocide, the war would have ended in 24 hours. Instead, the IDF warns civilians to evacuate, opens humanitarian corridors, and facilitates aid—actions that are the direct opposite of genocide.

2. Civilian-to-Combatant Ratio

The Accusation: "Israel is indiscriminately killing civilians."

The Reality: The IDF has achieved the lowest ratio of civilian-to-combatant deaths in the history of urban warfare.

The Proof: In standard urban warfare, according to the UN, the average is 9 civilians killed for every 1 combatant. In Gaza, despite Hamas embedding themselves in civilian infrastructure, Israel has brought that ratio down significantly lower than the global average, often cited as close to 1:1 or 1.5:1. No other army in history has done more to minimize civilian harm in such a dense environment.

3. Human Shields vs. Iron Dome

The Accusation: "Israel uses disproportionate force."

The Reality: The moral difference is absolute: Israel uses weapons to protect its people; Hamas uses people to protect its weapons.

The Proof: Israel invests billions in defense, including Iron Dome and shelters to save lives. Hamas invests billions in terror tunnels underneath hospitals, schools, and homes, deliberately sacrificing their own population to gain international sympathy.

4. The Weaponization of Starvation

The Accusation: "Israel is using starvation as a weapon of war."

The Reality: Israel has never used starvation as a weapon.

The Proof: From the start of the war, Israel has facilitated the entry of hundreds of thousands of tons of food, water, and medical supplies into Gaza. Any shortages are the result of Hamas hijacking aid convoys and the inability of international organizations to distribute it effectively inside the zone—not Israeli policy.

5. Sexual Violence

The Accusation: "IDF soldiers commit sexual violence."

The Reality: This is a projection of Hamas’s own crimes.

The Proof: The IDF holds itself to the highest moral code. There is no systemic evidence or record of the IDF using sexual violence as a tool of war.

Conversely, the sexual atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7th were systematic, documented by the terrorists themselves, and celebrated.
