Indigenous Rights: Refuting the Colonial Lie
Fact 1: The Indigenous Claim
The Jewish people are indigenous to Israel. Every inch of it belongs to the Jews.
Indigenous status is defined by where a people's culture, language, and religion were born. The Jewish people were ethnogenized (became a nation) in the Land of Israel. We speak the same language- Hebrew and worship the same G-d in the same places as our ancestors 3,000 years ago.
You cannot "colonize" the land where your nation was born; you can only return to it.
Fact 2: The Myth of the "State"
There was never an Arab Palestinian state.
While Arab people have lived in the region, there has never in all of history been a sovereign country called "Palestine" ruled by Arabs. The land was ruled by the Ottoman Empire (Turks) for 400 years, then the British Mandate. Before that? Mamluks, Crusaders, Romans.
The only independent sovereign nation that has ever existed in this territory is the Jewish nation (Kingdom of Israel, Judea).
Fact 3: The "Settler" Libel
There is no such thing as "Israeli Settlers." There are Jews living in their homes.
The term "Settler" is a linguistic weapon used to strip Jews of their rights. A "settler" implies a foreigner moving into someone else's land (like the British in India).
A Jew living in Judea (the West Bank) is like a Frenchman living in Paris. It is the cradle of Jewish civilization, the burial place of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs. You cannot be a settler in your ancestral heartland.
Fact 4: The Religious Core
Zionism is as core to Judaism as Mecca is to Islam.
Anti-Zionists try to claim they "love Jews but hate Zionists." This is a lie. Zionism is not a political party; it is the belief that Jews have a right to self-determination in their homeland. It is embedded in every Jewish prayer, holiday, and lifecycle event.
Denying a Jew the right to Zion is like denying a Muslim the right to Mecca. It is an attack on the faith itself.
Fact 5: The Rejectionism
The Palestinians were offered a state countless times and rejected every offer.
If the goal of the Palestinian cause was a state, they would have had one in 1937 (Peel Commission), 1947 (UN Partition), 2000 (Camp David), 2001 (Taba), or 2008 (Olmert).
In 2008, they were offered nearly 100% of the West Bank and Gaza. They said no. Why? Because accepting a state meant accepting a Jewish state next door. Their goal is not the creation of Palestine, but the destruction of Israel.
Fact 6: Real Colonialism
Israel is the farthest thing from colonialists. The Arab world, on the other hand...
Jews are a tiny indigenous minority (0.2% of the world) returning to a sliver of land. "Arabization" was the actual colonial force that swept out of the Arabian Peninsula in the 7th century, conquering the Middle East and North Africa, imposing their language and religion on indigenous peoples (Kurds, Copts, Berbers, Jews).
Accusing Jews of colonialism is the ultimate projection.
