Administration notifies only one dorm after swastikas and hate speech target students, sparking parental outrage.
A cover-up of sorts is being alleged at Miami University of Ohio, where a disturbing antisemitic attack has been "contained" rather than confronted.
The Incident: According to leaked internal communications, residents of Tappan Hall were notified this week of three hate incidents: two antisemitic messages (one scrawled directly on a Jewish student's door, another in a communal bathroom) and one racist message.
The Controversy: While the residence hall staff sent an email to Tappan Hall students calling the acts "deplorable," the University administration has notably failed to issue a campus-wide statement. By notifying only the specific dorm, the university treats targeted Jew-hatred as a "roommate dispute" or local vandalism rather than a campus-wide culture crisis.
The Response: The grassroots movement End Jew Hatred (Parent Edition) has launched a campaign accusing the leadership of "sweeping it under the rug." They are demanding that the administration tell everyone—not just the students in one building—that this behavior is unacceptable. When a student is targeted in their own home (their dorm door), the entire community is unsafe until the leadership speaks out.
ZAH Perspective: Silence is complicity. When a university refuses to broadcast these incidents to the wider student body, they are prioritizing their public image over the safety of their Jewish students. "containment" is not a strategy for fighting antisemitism; it is a strategy for ignoring it. If the rest of the campus doesn't know it happened, they cannot stand in solidarity with the victims.

Prayer Point:
"For God shall bring every work into judgment, concerning every hidden thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil." Ecclesiastes 12:14
Lord of Truth, we pray that what is hidden in the dark corners of Tappan Hall be brought to light. We ask for protection for the Jewish students at Miami University. Give them bold voices to refuse to be silenced or "managed" by administrators. Force the leadership to confront this evil openly so that it can be rooted out.
